Good food, cooking (and eating) have always been my passion. However, until last year it had always just been a hobby.
Just Add Parsley was launched in early 2018 since when it has been my great pleasure to cook a wonderfully varied range of menus.
Menus I’ve prepared include : –
- Indian banquet for 20
- elegant dinner parties
- family celebrations for 40,
- vegetarian dinner for 4
- diner à deux,
- a red, white & blue summer picnic for 25 to celebrate the Royal Wedding
- “gourmet” chilli for 90
- Christmas treats
- Ottolenghi style salads
Every meal is bespoke and cooked freshly and to order after consultation with individual clients on their specific requirements.
I love to prepare inspiring menus and make people happy with my food. While I have not been classically trained as a chef, I have been lucky enough to attend inspirational training including with Jean Christophe Novelli and at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons with Raymond Blanc.
Most of my experience comes from cooking increasingly adventurous and ambitious meals for family and friends over many years.
Obviously I have ever growing shelves of cook books, files of sample menus, rafts of ideas for dishes and an extensive repertoire of tried and tested favourites but Just Add Parsley is not a “set menu” sort of service.
It is important to me to approach each planning meeting with a rolodex of ideas tucked up my sleeve but a completely open mind. I listen carefully to my client’s interests, ideas, likes and dislikes and vision for the evening and then help to shape that brief into the event in their imagination.
In addition to menu planning and freezer filling, I offer a range of products and services to make your life in the kitchen that bit easier. From store cupboard staples chutneys and jellies to zhuzh up a cheeseboard, or bring out the flavour of your roast then as well as home-made ice cream in your favourite flavour combinations.
I can consult on dinner party menus and provide some or all of the courses for you, allowing you to focus on hosting and not worry about the cooking.
